SPC Group Opens Paris Baguette Zhonghua Lu Store in Shenyang, China

SPC Group announced on November 15 that it has opened the Paris Baguette Zhonghua Lu, Shenyang store (‘Zhonghua Lu store’), the first store in Shenyang, the capital of China’s Liaoning Province.

Shenyang is a major city in the northeastern part of China. Following Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, and Hangzhou, this is the 13th city in China where Paris Baguette’s store is opened. From Shenyang, Paris Baguette will expand its business in stages into Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang, the three northeast Provinces.

Paris Baguette Zhonghua Lu, the first store in Shenyang, is located on the ground floor of Parkson Department Store on Taiyuan Street, the busiest commercial district of Shenyang. In particular, it is situated by the front gate of the department store, which indicates Paris Baguette’s brand power in China. The store features an open kitchen so that customers can watch how products are made on the premises. The storefront display provides information on Paris Baguette’s wide range of menus.

To celebrate its opening, Paris Baguette Zhonghua Lu offers the limited-edition ‘Shenyang Sand Cookies.’ Following the popularity of ‘Jeju Sand Cookies’ and ‘Gapyeong Sang Cookies’ of Korea, Shenyang Sand Cookies were designed using the shape of the palace of Shenyang, the capital of the Qing Dynasty, as a motif. At the same time, through collaboration with Universal Studio, around ten limited-edition Minions and Kung Fu Panda products, along with other special products, will be placed sale.

SPC Group official said, “Business in China is sailing smoothly that sales up to the third quarter this year increased by more than 15% year-on-year. We will expand the business in China by entering Shandong and Guangdong Provinces in the future.”
