SPC Group Opens Sixth Shake Shack in Singapore

28 April 2021 – SPC Group announced the opening of Shake Shack Great World, the sixth Shake Shack in Singapore on April 28th.

SPC Group, which has the license to run Shake Shack outlets in Singapore, has opened six outlets at key locations across the city. The sixth Shake Shack comes just two years after the opening of the first Shake Shack at Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport in April 2019. As such, the company is successfully carrying forward Shake Shack business in Singapore following its success in Korea.

Despite the difficulties from Covid-19, SPC Group opened four new outlets with popular demand for its delivery service and a range of marketing activities.

Shake Shack Great World is located on the first floor of the Great World, built on the former site of Great World Amusement Park. Through collaboration with the local artist tobyato, a swirling mural using sherbet colors and amusement park elements paying homage to the area’s history has been created.

Shake Shack Great World features two exclusive concretes which are inspired by giddy amusement park afternoons. Poppin’ Good Time is vanilla custard with chocolate poprocks, local Plain Vanilla brownie, salted caramel sauce and gold sprinkles. Berry Ferris Swell is vanilla custard swirled with tangy raspberries and cheesecake.

Continuing Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good, 5% of sales from the Shack Attack concrete benefit Promisedland Community Services, a non-profit providing a wide range of services to assist those in need.

“Following its success in Korea, SPC Group is continuing to operate Shake Shack across Singapore,” said an SPC Group spokesperson. “In an effort to leverage the growing Southeast Asian market, a regional hub for SPC Group’s continued global business growth, we will actively expand our Shake Shack business in Singapore.”

SPC Group signed a deal with Shake Shack Inc. in December 2015 and currently operates 15 Shake Shack outlets in Korea. Following its success in Korea, the company also won the license to run Shake Shack outlets in Singapore in October 2018. In particular, SPC Group is a regional producer and supplier of Shake Shack burger buns, maintaining the same taste and quality as those in the U.S. by using its patented native yeast to its outlets in both Korea and Singapore.
