SPC Group’s Tea Brand ‘teatra’ Wins Superior Taste Award

‘Earl Gray &’ of teatra, a blended tea brand operated by SPC Group, received ‘Superior Taste Award 2021’ by the International Taste Institute, the company said on June 10.
The International Taste Institute (ITI), a food and beverage quality evaluation organization located in Brussels, Belgium, evaluates food and beverage items produced from 130 countries across the world and grants certification marks every year. The judges, consisting of world-famous chefs and sommeliers, assess various aspects of foods and beverages such as taste and aroma based on strict standards.
The award-winning product ‘Earl Gray &’ is teatra’s premium line item, which was newly launched this year, and is a tea with a refreshing lemon flavor added to Earl Gray. SPC Group scientists selected and blended dozens of samples of tea leaves harvested this year from Keemun, China, one of the world’s three largest black tea producing regions, and mixed bergamot oil and lemon oil to reveal the flavor of citrus fruits clearly.
‘Earl Gray &’ is sold at brand stores operated by SPC Group such as Passion5, Paris Croissant, and COFFEE@WORKS, and is also available at online malls such as KakaoTalk Gift and Happy Market.
A marketing manager for teatra said, “Our teatra products are winning awards in international competitions by pursuing the best quality from raw materials to packaging. Recognized by ITI, we expect to grow as a beloved brand.”
