SPC Group Delivers 400 million Happy Points to Meal-skipping Children for Past 5 Years

SPC Group (Chairman: Hur Young-in) said on July 14 that it has provided Happy Points to children who may skip meals at home during the summer vacation.

‘Happy Points support program,’ undertaken by SPC Group in partnership with the ChildFund Korea, is a social contribution program through which the beneficiaries can use the points in 6,300 SPC affiliate stores across the country, including Paris Baguette, Baskin Robbins, Dunkin, and Bizeun.

The group has provided Happy Points worth 440 million won in total to 9,000 children on ten separate occasions by 2 times a year for the past five years since 2017. During this summer, it delivered Happy Points cards to 310 children from underprivileged families and 30 households with children in North Chungcheong Province.

Yeo Seung-su, head of Seoul Section 3 of the ChildFund Korea, said, “Amid the prolonged COVID-19 crisis, people are deprived of opportunities to eat out or go out. Thanks to Happy Points, children can enjoy their summer vacation better as the card allows them to use the points in many stores. It provides more tangible help for the children.”

An SPC Group official said, “I hope that our children can spend their vacation without worrying about how to get through the day with meals with the support of Happy Points. We will keep working on helping out underprivileged people in our society with a corporate philosophy that sharing is part of our mission.”

Happy Points is an integrated membership service run by Secta9ine, a marketing solution affiliate, which allows the cardholder to use the points in any of the 6,300 SPC Group brand merchants. With the Happy Points app, Secta9ine tries to disseminate the sharing culture through campaigns such as ‘Sweet Companionship.’
