SPC Group Distributes Briquettes to Poorly Heated Households

SPC Happy Foundation, a social contribution arm of SPC Group, said on November 25, 2021 that it conducted activities of sharing briquettes for poorly heated households in winter.

SPC Happy Foundation donated 12,500 briquettes to needy people through Babsang Community Briquette Bank, a social welfare organization (CEO Heo Ki-bok). Donated briquettes will be distributed to 63 poorly heated households in Gangwon Province and Incheon City.

Also, SPC Happy Foundation conducted volunteer activities of delivering briquettes in Gangwon Province. The volunteer service provided in Myeongnyun-dong, Wonju City was taken part by employees at SPC Group and owners of 4 franchise stores of Paris Baguette in Wonju. Owners of Wonju Exemplary Store, Wonju Innovation City Store, Wonju Cheong-gu Store and Wonju Dan-gwan Store of Paris Baguette delivered snack sets that contained a Pung-gi ginseng cake of Paris Baguette to those households along with briquettes.

“It is meaningful to participate in love-sharing activities for neighbors in increasingly cold winter,” said Gu Seung-seo, owner of Wonju Exemplary Store. “We hope this will be a warm gift even though it may be a small token of our heart.”

“We designed this volunteer activity to help neighbors in local communities who are suffering from difficulties in the yuletide season. We will continue to carry out diverse activities that can be helpful for local communities,” said a manager at SPC Group.

In 2020, SPC Group also donated 12,500 briquettes to 83 poorly heated households in Seoul through Babsang Community Briquette Bank.
