SPC Group Delivers Happy Points to Meal Skipping Children During Summer Vacation

SPC Group (Chairman Hur Young-in) announced on the 19th that it provided Happy Points worth KRW 50 million for children who may skip meals during summer vacation.

The ‘Happy Points Support Program,’ by SPC Group together with ChildFund Korea, is a social contribution project to provide children who may skip meals during school breaks with Happy Points, which can be used as cash in over 7,000 SPC Group stores such as Paris Baguette, Baskin Robbins, Dunkin Donuts, Caffe Pascucci, and Bizeun nationwide.

This year, Happy Point cards were delivered to 320 children from low-income families and 60 child welfare institutions in the Gangwon area suffering from damage by massive wildfires. The Summer Vacation Happy Point Delivery Ceremony was held in the Paris Baguette Gangnam-Secho branch on the 18th with Director Baek Seung-hun of SPC Happy Foundation and Seoul 3 Regional Director Park Su-bong of ChildFund Korea present.

“Happy Point card could be used in many places, and it will significantly help children not to skip meals during summer break. We will give our full support for children to overcome difficult periods and grow healthy,” said Director Park Su-bong of ChildFund Korea.

“We hope children who are in the blind spots of welfare could enjoy a healthy vacation through this Happy Point support. SPC Group will continue social contribution projects to support the underprivileged based on the spirit that sharing is the company’s mission,” said an SPC Group official.
