Paris Baguette Continues Co-prosperity Efforts by Supporting Strawberry Farms in Nonsan for Three Consecutive Years
– Launched two types of French-style cakes made with strawberries, grown by young farmers in Nonsan
– “Enhancing competitiveness of farms from a long-term perspective and development of activities for simultaneous growth of the company”

Paris Baguette, a bakery brand of SPC Group, will continue its efforts for co-prosperity for three consecutive years by launching two types of cakes made with strawberries grown by young farmers in Nonsan.
SPC Group, which operates Paris Baguette, has been purchasing strawberries from Nonsan every year to use them for its products as part of the Happiness Co-prosperity Agreement signed with the city in February 2021.
In particular, since last year, the intention for co-prosperity has been strengthened by intensively using strawberries grown by young farmers, who will grow into key leaders in future farming. This is because fostering young farmers is gaining attention as an important solution for revitalizing rural areas in the midst of a heightened sense of crisis due to the steady decline in the domestic agricultural population and the aging of farmers.
This year, Paris Baguette launches two types of cakes – ‘Raw Strawberry Fraisier’ which is a fraisier cake (French-style cake with cross-sections of strawberries surrounding the edges) with Nonsan strawberries and sweet custard cheese cream placed between soft sheets and topped with plenty of Nonsan strawberries, and ‘Raw Strawberry Chocolate Fraisier’ which is a soft chocolate ganache cream cake containing fresh raspberry compote and topped with Nonsan strawberries.
Following last year, Paris Baguette hired a young farmer in Nonsan as its promotional model for the new product this year again. Yoo Seon-gyeong, a young farmer selected as a model, said, “I decided to participate as a model believing that it will be a good opportunity to advertise the unrivalled quality of Nonsan strawberries through the ‘Happiness and Co-prosperity Project’ while promoting young farmers at the same time.”
An official from Paris Baguette said, “This year, we will actively carry out various activities to contribute to the future development of agriculture and the mutual growth of the company through the Happiness and Co-prosperity Project.”
Meanwhile, since September 2020, SPC Group has run the ‘Happiness and Co-prosperity Project’ to provide help for struggling local farmers. It has developed products using local agricultural products including potatoes from Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, carrots from Gujwa-eup, Jeju-do, strawberries from Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, onions from Muan-gun, Jeonnam-do, ginseng from Punggi-eup, Yeongju-si, Gyeongbuk-do, jujubes from Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongbuk-do, and omija from Mungyeong-si, Gyeongbuk-do, continuing its co-prosperity movement.
