SPC Provides Volunteer Services to Create Safe Residential Environment

The SPC Happy Foundation, a social welfare entity of SPC (CEO Hur Young-in), announced that its executives and employees will perform voluntary activities to improve the residential environment of the elderly in the socially disadvantaged group on May 26.
This volunteer services came from partnership with the Seocho-gu Volunteer Center to prevent safety accidents and support a pleasant life for the socially weak in an effort to ‘create a safe environment’, which has been promoted by the Foundation as parts of its social contribution activities.
According to this plan, employees of SPC will visit 4 households selected by Seocho-gu Bangbae Senior Welfare Center and provide volunteer services such as installing bathroom safety handrails, replacing wall paper and flooring, and cleaning the interior by the 26th of next month.
An official from the Bangbae Elderly Welfare Center said, “The attention and volunteer services of SPC employees will be of great help to the elderly who live in unsafe living conditions due to economic hardships.”
An official from the SPC Happy Foundation said, “We will strive to fulfill our social responsibilities by discovering neighbors in need of help and lender full support to them, and contributing to changing our society into a safer environment.”
Meanwhile, SPC is sparing no efforts in practicing its culture of sharing, recording about 210,000 cumulative volunteer hours by the executive and employees since 2012.
