SPC Italian Restaurant Vera Successfully Completes Collaboration Event with World Pizza Masters

 

 

Vera, a Napolitan pizza restaurant operated by SPC in Hannam-dong, Seoul, said on the 6th that the collaboration event with world pizza masters ended in success.

 

In this event, which was held over two days since the 1st of this month, four varieties of pizza developed by three pizza masters including Leah Scurto, an American pizza champion who visited Korea to participate in the Seoul Food Festival 2023, were cooked and served by the pizza masters in person. It drew lots of attention, as all 200 pizzas prepared were sold out, and the restaurant’s sales increased by 30% compared to usual.

 

The event was made possible as the pizza masters recognized Vera as the perfect place to showcase their best products, which is equipped with the Korea’s excellent oven made with volcanic stones from Mount Vesuvius and it was certified by the True Napolitan Pizza Association certification and the Italian Hospitality for eight years in a row.

 

In the event, Vera and the pizza masters served four types of special pizza, which were Sweet and Spicy Salsiccia Pizza, Forest Mushroom and Fresh Cheese Pizza, Meat and Cheese Pizza, and Burrata Marinara Pizza.

 

“The collaboration with Vera offering the excellent kitchen and oven as well as the best chefs and staff was a truly enjoyable and special experience,” said Leah Scurto, the leader of the World Pizza Masters team. “I am extremely thankful to the Korean customers for coming to taste our pizza.”

 

Vera plans to extend the sale period for the pizza menu that was most well received by customers among the four varieties.
