Shake Shack Gangnam Store, the first Shake Shack branch to ever open in Korea in 2016 has relocated and opened as Shake Shack Gangnam-daero Store on August 25. Shake Shack holds a variety of events so that customers can always experience a world of new tastes. Meet Chef Junghyun Park, Who Has Reinterpreted the Taste of Shake Shack

 

Chef Junghyun Park operates modern Korean restaurants Atoboy & Atomix in New York

 

Shake Shack strives to provide new and unique gastronomic experiences by continuously collaborating with domestic and international Michelin chefs. This collaboration was with Chef Junghyun Park of the restaurant Atomix, who has emerged as a star in the global gastronomy world by leading the globalization of Korean food in New York. He has created 3 types of Ato menus: Ato Burger, Ato Fries, Ato Sujeonggwa Shake, which stand out with a luscious combination of Korean food base. This collaboration was first revealed at the newly opened Shake Shack Gangnam-daero Store. Chef Junghyun Park received great attention for his first collaboration in Korea.

 

Atomix, led by Chef Junghyun Park, ranked 33rd globally and 1st in the United States last year in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, the most prestigious in the gastronomy industry, and ranked 8th globally this year. Additionally, in June of this year, he was selected as the winner of the James Beard Award, known as the Oscars of the American restaurant industry. He is busy spreading the taste of Korea and revealed the story behind the collaboration with Shake Shack through this collaboration event.

Chef Junghyun Park said, “I have been working to promote Korean food and culture by collaborating with world-class chefs in New York, and I am happy to be working with Shake Shack for my first collaboration in my home country, Korea.” “We hope that you will be able to experience differentiated gourmet food through the Ato menu, which delicately expresses the traditions, values, and taste of Korean food.”

 

Shake Shack Culinary Director Mark Rosati, who also attended, said, “We have established a collaboration with Chef Junghyun Park to deliver Shake Shack’s core values to customers and provide a new gourmet experience.” He expressed his ambition, saying, “We will continue to provide diverse experiences and values that fit the fine-casual concept”. Limited edition menus introduced at Shake Shack Gangnam-daero Store Ato Burger, Ato Fries, Ato Sujeonggwa Shake

 

Chef Junghyun Park’s three types of Ato menu were sold only to customers who visited ‘Shake Shack Gangnam-daero Store for one day only on September 9th. Ato Menu, which actively utilizes Korean cooking methods and ingredients, focuses on conveying Korean culture and taste.

 

Ato Burger with shrimp patty and Korean-style fried hash browns mixed with yuzu chili sauce, Ato Fries with deep crinkle cut fries topped with spicy seasoning and Shake Shack cheese sauce, Ato Sujeonggwa Shake which is a blend of vanilla custard and sujeonggwa base (sujeonggwa is a Korean traditional cinnamon punch), finished with walnut jeonggwa (A snack made by boiling all kinds of fruits, ginger, lotus root, ginseng, etc. in honey or sugar water), presented the ultimate fine casual experience to customers who visited the store.

 

Also, on this day, Shake Shack Gangnam-daero Store had a Shake Shack and Ato Junghyun Park Collaboration Goods Giveaway Event, where chef collaboration limited edition tote bags were gifted to 100 customers, who purchased at least one of Ato Burger, Ato Fries, and Ato Sujeonggwa Shake, on a first come first serve basis.

The entire exterior wall is wrapped in a comb pattern, adding to the feeling of relaxation in the city. Additionally, you can enjoy a vibrant and lively atmosphere with the media artwork, completed through collaboration with an artist, in which unique characters gather at Shake Shack Gangnam-daero Store and enjoy a variety of menus.

 

Meanwhile, at Shake Shack Gangnam-daero Store, in addition to the signature Concretes menu ‘Gangnam’, you can experience ‘Coffee Shake’ in collaboration with local roasting brand, ‘Anthracite’.
