<SPC Club> Creating a Robust Corporate Culture

Status of active clubs within SPC subsidiaries
People spend most of the week with our co-workers, 5 days a week, 9 hours a day or more. If you have common interests, you can form a deep bond regardless of your affiliation or position. SPC operates club activities for each subsidiary to promote inter-departmental cooperation and friendship among employees.
Employees can join an existing club or open a new club through screening if there is no desired field. There are a total of 89 clubs active currently: 8 in SPC, 16 in Paris Croissant, 21 in SPC Samlip, 18 in BR Korea, 16 in SPC GFS, and 10 in Secta9nine.
Each subsidiary welcomes new club members with a more solid lineup than before, from various exercise clubs to manage physical strength, which is called an employee’s asset, to reading and study clubs to help them pursue a healthy lifestyle. If you are tired of the repetitive routine at work and at home, why not join a club and find a ‘healing mate’ to share your hobbies with? Laughing together and sometimes sweating together will not only relieve stress but also strengthen your relationship with your colleagues.

At least two manuscripts are prepared through an editorial meeting once a month, and excellent plans and contents are selected and officially published in the SPC magazine newsletter. In addition to this, manuscripts will be posted monthly through the in-house communication bulletin board ‘SNL (SPC News Lounge)’, which will be newly established in the groupware. We ask for your interest in Happy Messenger, which will work hard for exchanges between internal organizations and become an icon of communication.

Well-known professor Kyungil Kim’s special lecture on <How to Complete Happiness>
SPC is holding long-term lectures to revitalize the work culture for the employees. On the 20th of July, they invited the cognitive psychologist Professor Kyungil Kim to contemplate on the theme of ‘How to complete happiness’. Kyungil Kim, who has majored in human psychology and featured in various TV shows like No Way I’m an Adult, is a well-renowned speaker for spreading knowledge about human psychology.
In this special lecture, Professor Kim Kyungil emphasized that happiness and satisfaction depend on frequency, not size, so it is important to do pleasant things often and record happy moments to remember them. It was a valuable time to learn how to control oneself and how to consider it precious. Employees who participated in the lecture said, “Thanks to the special lecture, I was able to bring my frequency of happiness to one”, “From the beginning using figures to the ending touching emotions, everything was good, and I thought I wanted to improve my life by applying the contents of the lecture.”
Cooking Class to Make Memories with Close Ones
Cookie-making class by inviting close ones of executives and employees
On July 20th, SPC executives and staff members invited close ones (lovers, friends, family, etc.)’ and held a one-day class together. This invitational class for company-wide employees is the second after the Children’s Cake Class, which was held last May. Participants were selected by receiving stories about their first meeting with their close ones through Groovy’s mail.
The ‘cookie making’ class, which was held by inviting executives and employees, was held at the SPC Culinary Academy on the 3rd floor of the SPC headquarters. Before the start of the class, a commemorative photo was taken at the photo zone at the entrance, followed by a simple orientation and quiz event to promote friendship, followed by baking of three types of cookies together: coffee nut meringue cookie, fig diamant, and almond langue de chat. Employees who participated in the class shared their opinion on spending their precious time with a loved one saying, “It was nice to introduce the company to a friend and have a good time together,” and “It was fun and happy to have memories with my sibling before giving birth.”
