Paris Croissant of SPC Group Wins the First ‘Consumer Rights Grand Prize’ in 2022

Paris Croissant of SPC Group said that it received the ‘Consumer Rights Grand Prize’ from the Korean Society of Consumer Policy and Education on June 10. Paris Croissant operates a global bakery chain, Paris Baguette.
The Society created the award this year to contribute to the spread of a corporate culture in which companies try their best to fulfill social and environmental responsibilities while doing consumer-centered management activities to go along the current trends on consumer-centric sustainable management.
Companies recommended by members of the Society are shortlisted for the prize, and then the final winner is chosen by a selection committee consisting mostly of former and incumbent chairpersons of the Society.
Paris Croissant took the honor of winning the Society’s first ‘Consumer Rights Grand Prize’ in recognition of its great contributions to realizing the values of social community and promoting consumer rights through many different CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programs. For example, ‘ESG Happy Win-Win Project’ supports farming households in the fashion of purchasing agricultural products, training young farmers and helping the development of new varieties of crop. ‘SPC Happy Fund’ supports physically handicapped children in low-income households.
“Thanks to our diverse CSR activities, we obtained CCM (Consumer Centered Management) certification and then won the Consumer Rights Grand Prize,” a Paris Croissant official said. “We will keep up our good CSR work and try harder to improve consumer rights.”
