SPC Group Open Lagrillia Bundang
Lagrillia, an Italian casual dining restaurant chain operated by the SPC Group (Chairman Hur Young-in), announced on December 16 that it opened a new branch in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province.
Lagrillia Bundang is the chain’s 11th location with an area of 363 square meters and 112 seats on the ground floor of the Bundang Branch of Lotte Department Store. It is the first Lagrillia venue opened outside Seoul except for one in Incheon Airport regarded as a special location.
Customers can enjoy a variety of hot pizzas fresh from a brazier in the façade of the restaurant. A beverage bar offering the store’s specialty coffee attracts attention. The pizzeria uses carefully selected Italian flour. Its pizzaiolo (pizza maker) bakes pizzas quickly — within a maximum of 100 seconds — in an orthodox Napoli fashion to give them the best flavor and a good mouthfeel.
Lagrillia Bundang has unveiled its limited menu items unavailable in other branches. They are ‘Burrata Cheese Margherita Pizza’ (KRW 22,900) made with soft and creamy Burrata cheese, thick and zesty tomato sauce, and fragrant basil that adds to flavor; ‘Truffle Mushroom Pizza’ (KRW 20,900) using savory truffle and diverse flavorful mushrooms; ‘Scallops Vongole Pasta’ (KRW 21,900) rich with fresh clams whose flavor is made mellow by white wine; ‘Mozzarella Beef Pilaf’ (KRW 17,900) made with plenty of Mozzarella cheese, beef and chicken.
Lagrillia is hosting various events to mark the opening of the new store. It gifts ‘Happy Con’ mobile coupons usable only in the Bundang branch to five customers selected by lot from applicants. Applicants must tag a friend whom they want to dine with and make a comment in the post at Lagrillia’s official Instagram account (@lagrillia) until December 19. Selected ones will be able to enjoy one of three dishes — Beef Steak On the Stone, Royale Carbonara, Shrimp and Flying Fish Roe Cream Spaghetti — that will be given randomly. In addition to this, Lagrillia offers one complimentary special dessert for each table when ordering main menu items to those who will have received Lagrillia Bundang coupons through the Lotte Department Store app until January 16 next year.
“We opened our first shop in Gyeonggi Province outside Seoul to give more consumers an opportunity to enjoy Lagrillia’s differentiated tastes and services,” an official of Lagrillia said. “We will steadily branch out into major areas.”
