SPC Samlip Launched Four Korean Wheat Bakery Products to Increase Domestic Wheat Consumption

– SPC Samlip actively supports shared growth with farmhouses by continuously increasing products using Korean wheat

– SPC Samlip will expand food self-sufficiency by releasing additional bakery lineups and developing related products

SPC Samlip announced on the 14th that it launched the “Four Varieties of Korean Wheat Bakery” to activate domestic wheat consumption.

Four varieties of Korean wheat bakery were launched according to the “Domestic Wheat Consumption Activation Agreement” the company entered into with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in December last year. Planned and developed in line with the “Smile Together ” project, these new products are made using ingredients from local farmhouses, such as domestic wheat, as well as barley sprouts, potatoes, and cheese.

The four varieties are “Barley Sprout and Red Bean Hotteok,” a Korean-style pancake with sweet red bean filling in locally produced barley sprout dough, “Potato and Cheese Pang,” a flavorful bun made using Korean potatoes and cheese, “Milk and Butter Roll” characterized by the soft and moist texture created using milk, and “Yuja Manju ,” a sweet bun containing fragrant citron. The new products are available at EMART and Nonghyup Hanaro Mart stores across the country.

“Because of the grain price rises in the global market, we will strive to expand food self-sufficiency and to secure food security through the domestic wheat supply,” said an SPC Samlip official. “We will lead the ESG management for shared growth with local farmhouses by strengthening the domestic wheat bakery lineup to expand marketing routes for Korean wheat, and continuously developing new products using Korean agricultural products.”

In December last year, SPC Samlip entered into an MOU with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Rural Affairs to increase Korean wheat consumption, and provide consumers with high-quality products made using domestic ingredients.
