SPC’s Teatra Wins International Superior Taste Award
SPC announced that Teatra, its premium blended tea brand, won the Superior Taste Award at the 2023 ITI International Food and Beverage Conference, on January 25, 2023.
The 2023 ITI International Food and Beverage Conference is an annual event held by the International Taste Institute (ITI), a food and beverage quality evaluation agency located in Brussels, Belgium where food and beverage products from 130 countries around the world are evaluated and certification marks are given to excellent products. At the conference, judges composed of world-renowned chefs and sommeliers fairly grade various categories such as taste and aroma under strict standards.
This year, Teatra won the Superior Taste Award for the second time following 2021. Shine Muscat Green Tea, the award-winning product, is a premium line tea product of Teatra, in which Green tea grown in Hadong, Korea’s largest green tea production region, added with Shine Muscat and tropical fruit flavors, provides a sweet and fresh yet deep flavor in the mouth. Shine Muscat Green Tea is available at Passion5, Paris Croissant, Caffe Pascucci, and COFFEE@WORKS stores operated by SPC.
Teatra’s ‘Milk Tea Base’, which also won the International Superior Taste Award, together with Shine Muscat Green Tea, is a drink base product that boasts an elegant and rich savour from black tea (Ceylon tea) extract added with bergamot fragrance. This product is available as royal milk tea (tea latte) at Caffe Pascucci, an authentic Italian coffee shop, and Paris Croissant, a premium bakery cafe with an authentic European style, both of which are run by SPC.
A Teatra marketing official said, “Teatra continues to win awards at international competitions, such as the 2023 ITI International Food and Beverage Conference certification, by developing products that seek the highest quality, from raw materials to packaging.” He added, “We plan to showcase a wide range of unique beverage products to make more customers fall in love with our tea brand.”
